Michael and Fala hopes to gain TV titles together

Playing on screen couples is one great way for artists to earn more money and gain more publicity. One good example is the Moses and Aimee Chan team. TVB series ‘Lives of Omission’ had received great reception by the audience and the increase in popularity for the on-screen couple, Michael Tse and Fala Chen have since received endless jobs to earn more money together. Michael hopes that their popularity in the series will earn Fala and himself the titles of TV queen and king. Consequently, keeping in healthy competition with the other favourite for TV king, Wayne Lai.

Yesterday, Michael Tse, Fala Chen, Ron Ng, Myolie Wu and Kate Tsui all performed at a concert show in Taiwan. Michael has been travelling to a lot of places performing in shows, especially to long distances across Mainland China. Fala has been busy filming another new series for TVB called ‘The Palace Scheme of East and West’ but still had the time to fly to places and earn some more money with Michael. When asked if their earning increase as an on screen couple, Michael said: “When there is a couple appearing on stage, the wages are better but with Fala so busy, it is difficult.” (Has Moses and Aimee taken all the on screen couple work?) “Not really! Fala sometimes managed to find the time but some night shows, I have to do it alone. In fact many places in China I had got work, have not guess that the series is so popular”

Recent rumours about the high possibility that Wayne Lai will be rewarded with the TV King title again. Also high expectations that Maggie Cheung ‘s role in TVB series ‘Forensic Heroes 3’ will also gain praise and being a favourite for TV queen. Michael expressed that he hopes that Fala and himself will both gain awards for their performances in the series ‘Lives of Omission’. He said: “In the series, we play a couple and wish to both receive awards, of course, it is only natural.” (Do you have confident that the series will gain the best series recognition?) “We have to see the rest of this years series first before we can give our reviews, so far, this series is the highest in this year’s viewing ratings. I hope it stays that way. ” Speaking to Fala about TV queen title, she said: “I have a lot of confidence for Michael to receive TV king. Myself, I can wait, as I am still gaining more acting experience, plenty of time to improve myself.”

On the other hand, Myolie Wu appeared on the stage singing on her own without partner Bosco Wong. She laughed: “I am an independent woman, career focused and chilled!” Myolie revealed that she was working on the ending for the series ‘A Way of Thinking’ and that she did not really get much sleep before going to the airport. She laughed: “I think I am very hard working, like a factory worker. When I go back to HK, I will start work on Ghetto Justice 2 straight away.” (Have you been on holiday with Bosco?) “No, not even eat together or had time to see each other. We only see each at work.”

Futhermore, rumoured couple Ron Ng and Kate Tsui sung on stage together. With the recent break up news between Ron and Viann Zhang, Ron did not give any response to this news.
